HealthTrust loan led by Nova Scotia bank.

NASHVILLE - Health Trust Inc. has entered into a $750 million credit agreement with a syndicate led by Bank of Nova Scotia as administrative agent.

Co-agents are Bank of Nova Scotia, ABN Amro Bank, Bank of American, Chase Manhattan Bank, Citibank, Continental Bank, Deutche Bank, Swiss Bank Corp., LTCB Trust Co., and Toronto-Dominion Bank.

The hospital management company said about $300 million of the facility is earmarked to repay indebtedness under a December 1991 credit agreement.

The new credit provides for a working capital facility of $200 million and up to $250 million that can be used to repurchase or redeem guaranteed subordinated debentures.
