Bank of Boston signs up for software.

Bank of Boston Corp. has obtained a license to use software from BancWare of Braintree, Mass., to analyze and manage assets and liabilities, the vendor announced.

Bank of Boston had previously used BancWare software called Convergence for forecasting financial performance. With the new license, Bank of Boston will be able to use the Convergence software to analyze its assets and liabilities for exposure to interest-rate fluctuations.

Other banks that this year have obtained licenses to use BancWare software include: American National Corp., St. Paul, Minn.; CoreStates Financial Corp., Philadelphia; Union Bank, San Frapcisco; BB&T Financial Corp, Wilson, N.C.; and LaSalle National Bank, Chicago.
