Chase named custodian for credit union.

NEW YORK - Chase Manhattan Bank said it was named domestic custodian of $38 billion of assets for U.S. Central Credit Union of Kansas City, Mo.

Chase said custodial functions for U.S. Central's assets would be handled by the New. York company's global securities services group.

The Chase Manhattan Corp. unit said it will also provide trustee service for U.S. Central's medium-term note program.
