Arkansas Systems in Bolivian deal.

Arkansas Systems installed a PC-based automated teller machine and point of sale on-line switch for Banco de La Paz in La Paz, Bolivia. The switch enables the $126 million bank to tap into the five member Enlace network in Bolivia. The connection is made through a personal computer that lets the bank offer its customers ATM services such as balance inquiries, deposits, withdrawals, purchases, and transfers. The transactions will be processed on-line with current balances being used for authorization or rejection, allowing the bank a greater amount of flexibility in defining withdrawal limits. The bank can compile daily transaction reports, as if it were running on a mainframe.

Arkansas Systems is based in Little Rock, Ark.
