Barnett gives perks to fund investors.

To reinforce mutual funds as just one more bank product, Barnett Bank is giving customers who have $15,000 invested in the bank's Emerald Funds access to its Premier Account.

The account, started in 1985, gives upscale customers perks like no-fee credit cards, ATM cards with $1,000-a-day withdrawal capability, and free checking.

"It's just one more part of Barnett's strategy to further integrate banking services with investment opportunities for our customers," said John Perkner, director of product development.

Former Requirements

Previously, a customer had to maintain a Barnett Regular or Interest-on-Checking Account with a combined average monthly balance of $15,000 in deposit accounts or an individual Barnett CreditLine or Home Equity CreditLine Account with a minimum $10,000 line of credit.
