HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -- Suncoast Savings and Loan Association said loan closings for September were $276 million, a 9.1% increase from the $253 million reported for the year-ago period and a 6.2% increase from August's volume of $255 million.
For its fiscal 1994 first quarter, which ended Sept. 30, loan closings were $737 million, an 8.5% increase from the $679 million closed in the first quarter of fiscal 1993.
Loan applications and registrations for September were $569 million. For the first quarter of fiscal 1994, loan applications and registrations were $1.2 billion.
