INDEPENDENT BANK Corp., Ionia, Mich., said the board of its Independent Bank East Michigan has named Ronald L. Long as president, chief executive, and a director.
The bank, formerly American Home Bank, was acquired Oct. 8 by Independent Bank Corp.
Mr. Long has been vice president and controller of the holding company since 1990.
The top five banks and thrifts have combined total assets of nearly $13 trillion.
