Officers of San Francisco Fed board named.

SAN FRANCISCO - A retired Bay Area health care executive, James A. Vohs, has been designated chairman and a Seattle attorney, Judith M. Runstad, deputy chairwoman of the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco for 1994 by the central bank's Board of Governors.

Mr. Vohs, 65, is a former chairman and chief executive officer of the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals in Oakland, Calif. He joined the board of the San Francisco Fed's head office in 1990.

Ms. Runstad, 49, is a partner and managing director of Foster Pepper & Shefelman, a Seattle law firm. She began her service with the bank in 1990 as a director on the board of its Seattle branch.

Mr. Vohs and Ms. Runstad were selected as directors representing nonbanking interests. Their leadership designations are for one year.
