Provident Bancorp to boost dividend by 10%.

CINCINNATI -- Provident Bancorp announced a dividend increase of 2 cents a share, or 10%, to 22 cents. The higher rate will be paid Nov. 26 to stockholders of record on Nov. 9.

Allen L. Davis, president of the $4.1 billion-asset banking company, cited its "continued core-earnings growth and strong capital position."

Provident's last dividend hike, to 20 cents from 18 cents, was announced Jan. 21.
