John M. Stewart has joined SunBanks Inc., Orlando, Fla., as president and chief executive of the private wealth group, a division of Sunbank Capital Management in Orlando.
The prrivate wealth group is a newly formed division responsible for the coordination and delivery of personal financial services to the top tier of the high-net-worth markets in Florida and elsewhere.
Mr. Stewart has 28 years of experience in the personal fianncial field. He worked for Bankers Trust Co., New York, for 17 years before joining J.P. Morgan Bank in New York.
He was subsequenty named president of its Palm Beach subsidiary, Morgan Trust Company of Florida. Most recently, he was president of Bankers trust Co. in Florida.
Sunbanks Inc. is part of Sun-Trust Banks Inc., the $38 billion superregional bank holding company based in Atlanta.
