Tiger signs Cox to lead an international fund.

Archibald Cox Jr., who resigned in September as president and CEO of First Boston Corp., has been named chairman of the Tiger International Fund of Tiger Management Corp., New York, an investment firm.

The fund plans to make $1 billion of direct investments in China, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.

Mr. Cox will be based in Tiger International's Hong Kong office.
