Money market assets slip to $580 billion.

Money market mutual fund assets slipped to $580.79 billion for the week ending Nov. 3, the Investment Company Institute reported.

Assets totaled $582.14 billion a week earlier.

Funds for retail investors held $304.66 billion of assets, a $688.4 million decline. Institutional funds dipped to $191.49 billion, a $1.09 billion decline.

In both cases, tax-exempt fund assets grew while taxable fund assets declined.
