Georgia's Bankers First reinstates payout.

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Bankers First Corp. declared a special dividend of 10 cents, payable Dec. 15 to shareholders of record Nov. 30.

The company said it also reinstated its regular quarterly dividend policy effective for 1994.

A company spokesman said Bankers First last paid a regular quarterly dividend -- of 7 cents -- in January 1992. The spokesman said the company has not set the rate for 1994.

Separately, Bankers First said the annual regulatory examinations of the company and its unit, Bankers First Savings Bank. were completed during the third quarter.

The company said that as a result of the examinations and favorable financial trends, formal agreements with the Office of Thrift Supervision have been terminated. The spokesman said Bankers First entered the agreements with the OTS in March 1992.
