John P. Bullard Jr. has been named president and chief operating officer of $436 million-asset BankUnited Financial Corp., based in Coral Gables, Fla.
Mr. Bullard replaces chairman and chief executive officer Alfred R. Camner as president.
He replaces Steven Hayworth, who resigned in September, as chief operating officer, the bank said.
Mr. Bullard was executive vice president of institutional banking at the Southeast Bank, Miami, in 1990 and 1991. He was at Southeast for 17 years.
