Nomura Securities International Inc., New York, named Ethan Penner as president of its whole loan trading subsidiary, Nomura Asset Capital Corp., as well as two affiliated companies, Nomura Asset Securities Corp. and Asset Securitization Corp.
Mr. Penner joined Nomura in February as a senior vice president in charge of all the firm's mortgage and real estate finance activities.
He will continue to manage the trading, sales, and structuring effort for a wide range of mortgage and real estate products in both securitized and whole loan form.
In his new role, Mr. Penner replaces Michael Berman, the co-head of the firm's fixed income operations, who continues in that role.
