Management fund appoints a director.

Wendell L. Evans Jr., chief executive officer of Mutual Savings Bank in Bay City, Mich., has been elected to the board of directors of the Asset Management Fund for Financial Institutions, Chicago.

The fund, which has more than $1.9 billion in assets, serves banks, savings institutions, credit unions, and insurance companies. It was founded in 1982.

Mr. Evans, one of seven directors, will be responsible for investment policies and operation.

Mutual Savings Bank has more than $800 million of assets.
