Wells plans small-business sweep account.

SAN FRANCISCO - Wells Fargo Bank said it will offer small businesses a bank account that moves the daily balance into a money market fund.

In a press release, the company said its managed sweep account pays dividends on business checking accounts by daily sweeping the account balance into a money market fund.

The company said that as checks are written, the money needed to cover them are moved out of the money market account and back into the checking account.

A customer can also link a line of credit to the managed sweep account and have the money advanced from the credit line as needed.
