Ellen J. Abrams has been elected president of National City Trust co., the West Palm Beach, Fla.-based subsidiary of National City Corp., Cleveland.
Ms. Abrams succeeds Gary L. Galbreath, who has become executive vice president and trust location head at National City Bank, Columbus.
As president, Ms. Abrams will direct and manage National City Trust's investment management, personal trust, and estate administration services in West Palm Beach, Naples, and Vero Beach.
Ms. Abrams had been vice president and senior trust officer of the company, with responsibilities also in business development and customer financial planning. She was also the managers of the West Palm Beach office.
She joined National City Trust in November 1986 as assistant vice president and trust officer. Ms. Abrams was elected to the board of directors of the company in June of this year.
