WILSHIRE FINANCIAL Service Group, Portland, Ore., has appointed Lawrence A. Mendelsohn chairman and James R. Vrataric chief executive of First Bank of Beverly Hills.
First Bank is a subsidiary of the group's Wilshire Acquisitions Corp. unit, a savings and loan holding company.
Mr. Mendelsohn has investment banking experience with J.P. Morgan & Co. and Bankers Trust Co., New York.
Mr. Vrataric, former executive vice president of Charter Bank, Agoura Hills, Calif, has a background in lending.
PLAZA HOME Mortgage, Santa Ana, Calif., said Mary Ellen Raymond is the production manager for its new branch in St. Louis.
Ms. Raymond was a senior vice president with Mark Twain Mortgage, St. Louis, responsible for managing all production support functions, including processing, closing, and underwriting for their retail and wholesale lending divisions.
