MEMPHIS -- National Commerce Bancorp reached an agreement to acquire Brooks, Montague & Associates Inc., an investment adviser, in exchange for stock. Terms were not disclosed.
National Commerce said that Brooks Montague, based in Chattanooga, Tenn., will continue to operate independently under the same name and that no jobs will be affected.
The bank holding company said it does not expect the acquisition to effect its earnings in 1993 or 1994. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and other conditions.
