Fla. thrift boosted lending 44% last month.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Suncoast Saving and Loan Association said its November loan closing totaled $310 million, up 44% from $216 million in the year-ago month.

Closings rose 27% to $1.4 billion in the first five months of its fiscal 1994 from $1.1 billion.

November loan applications came to $331 million to total $1.9 billion for the first five months.
