Chase dropping collision for some auto rentals.

Chase Manhattan Corp. said it will no longer pay for collision coverage on cars rented with some credit cards.

As of June 30, the coverage will no longer be available to holders of Chase's standard credit cards. It will still be available for holders of its Gold cards.

Chase said that the program was not cost effective and that too few cardholders were using it.
