B of A wins role in Philippine power plant.

HONG KONG -- BankAmerica National Trust Co. said it has won a $933 million project financing assignment from Hopewell Holdings Ltd. The BankAmerica Corp. unit will act as project finance trustee, registrar, and paying agent over the anticipated 25-year repayment period of the Pagbilao power station in the Philippines. After that, Hopewell will turn the station over to the Philippine government.

When construction is finished, expected in 1995, the bank as paying agent will take funds from electricity sales to pay down notes held by lenders that financed the project.
