WASHINGTON - The Federal Reserve Board has given Chemical Banking Corp. of New York approval to merge the Delaware operations of Texas Commerce Bank and Chemical Bank.
The merger is the final step in the consolidation of credit card operations following Chemical's 1987 acquisition of Texas Commerce Bancshares and the 1991 merger with Manufacturers Hanover Corp.
