First NH Bank renews pact with MAC.

MANCHESTER, N.H. - MAC, the Delaware-based electronic funds-transfer network, retained its major outpost in New England by signing a new three-year contract with First NH Bank.

The New Hampshire bank had been an equity owner in the Pocketbank network, which Money Access Services, the MAC network's formal name, acquired in 1988.

First NH has 127 ATM locations and 120,000 cardholders. As the merchant bank for many of the area's larger retail firms, it also is the region's largest point-of-sale acquirer.
