FormAtion adapts Pedestal for OS/2.

FormAtion Technologies Inc. has introduced its Pedestal platform automation and loan origination workstation for OS/2 operating environments.

The OS/2 workstation has all the features of the already available DOS version of Pedestal: consumer and commercial loan functions, indirect lending, new accounts, mortgages, and credit bureau reporting.

The OS/2 workstation will enable Pedestal users to access more than one feature at a time. For example, while the platform officer or commercial loan officer is busy entering data, Pedestal can communicate with the mainframe or print out a customer's credit report at the same time. There is no need to wait for the software and printer to finish one task before starting another. Juggling more than one task at a time can enhance productivity up to 50%.

Through Pedestal's knowledge-based system called Supervisor, users can be assured that documentation is consistent, accurate, and compliant with both external regulations and internal policies and procedures.

The system's common data base feature lets bankers electronically build application files, while a "one to many" feature will allow them to view complex relationships as one commitment by tying together the various components of a credit offering.
