Fair Isaac widens CreditDesk menu.

Fair, Isaac & Co., San Rafael, Calif, has enhanced the flexibility of CreditDesk, its PC-based lending software. Users can now choose from an expanded selection of scorecards, statistical models that help lenders evaluate credit risk.

The three industry-specific scorecards for revolving credit, direct loans, and indirect loans that were originally available with the system can now be. customized by Fair Isaac to better meet the user's needs. Or purchasers can opt to have Fair Isaac install a scorecard built for a particular portfolio.

New features include improved support for indirect lending, a fraud check, conditional acceptance processing, and a booking procedure. Optional features include dynamic interfaces with several loan document preparation programs, automated faxing of decision notifications, and a data-extract facility for ad hoc reporting or cross-selling.
