Bison Data, based in Buffalo, markets the system mainly in parts of the world that have "developing telecommunication infrastructures," said Joseph P. Savage, vice president of Verifone's network systems division.

3 Million Installations Made

The company has made three million installations in 70 countries and had $226 million in revenue last year.

Bison Data president Joseph Wolfson said the Verifone agreement was a strong endorsement for DataMover 2000 that gives both companies the opportunity to jointly open previously restricted new markets.
