Huntington National Bank adds to the duties of CEO Lee Hoskins.

W. Lee Hoskins, president and chief executive of Huntington National Bank, Columbus, Ohio, will assume the additional post of chairman of the Huntington Bancshares unit, effective Sept. 1.

Mr. Hoskins, who also is vice chairman of the parent company, will succeed William J. Williams, who is retiring.

Mr. Williams will continue to serve on the boards of both Huntington Bancshares and Huntington National Bank.

Before joining Huntington in 1985, Mr. Williams was president and chief operating officer of Republic Steel Corp. before its merger with LTV Corp. After the merger, he was a senior vice president of LTV.

Mr. Hoskins was president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland before joining Huntington in 1991.

Previously, he was chief economist at Pittsburgh National Bank and was for 11 years an economist with the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.
