Falling interest rates again cast a pall over major bank stocks as stocks in general moved higher.

NationsBank Corp. was off 50 cents to $51, and Barnett Banks Inc. fell 37.5 cents to $45.

Some banks rebounded from recent weakness. Banc One Corp. rose 12.5 cents to $52.125. Citicorp advanced 62.5 cents to $33.

Imperial Credit Industries, a mortgage banker, slumped $1 to $15.25 after being downgraded to "source of funds" from "neutral" by analyst Sy Jacobs of Alex. Brown & Sons Inc.
