Schnider accepts community development post in Delaware.

Doris R. Schnider, formerly head of Raleigh, N.C.-based Community Investment, Corporation of North Carolina, has left the post to form DRS Consulting Services, Wilmington, Del.

In addition to her consulting services, Ms. Schnider will hold the post of executive director of Delaware Community Investment Corp., a corporation being formed in Wilmington

While working with Delaware banks in the formation of a statewide multibank community development corporation, Ms. Schnider will continue to work with other clients to establish lender consortiums and develop community investment lending programs across the state.

"I spent two years with the community investment Corporation of North Carolina," said Ms. Schnider, "and the corporation is doing very well. The opportunity arose for me to move to Delaware and I accepted the offer and a new job."

Ms. Schnider has 18 years' experience offering low-cost mortgages. She helped organized and was president and and chief executive officer of Savings Associations Mortgage Co. in Santa Clara. Calif., a consortium of California lenders that has served as a model nationwide.

MIDWEST

ASSOCIATED BANK Green Bay, Wis., said Greg Stephan has been named community president of Associated Bank Door County and chairman of the advisory board. Larry Gajda has been named community vice president and secretary of the advisory board.

As community community bank vice president. Mr. Gajda will chair the bank's credit committee and be responsible for the bank's Sturgeon Bay West, Northern Door, and Baileys Harbor offices.

YORK STATE BANK, Elmhurst, Ill., a unit of First Colonial Bankshares Corp., has promoted Charity Pigoni and Phyllis Butt to vice president.

Ms. Pigoni will manage the bank's Hillside facility and the Spring Road branch.

Ms. Butt will now head teller operations at the main bank in Elmhurst.

FROST NATIONAL BANK, San Antonio, has elected Edward N. Piner to vice president, data services management; Charles Forney to assistant vice president. trust oil and gas; Joseph K. BRANFORD SAVINGS Bank, Branford, Conn., said Robert J. Mariano, executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been appointed acting president, chief executive officer, and a director.

Mr. Mariano, succeeds Raymond J. Ryan, who has resigned.

MID MAINE SAVINGS Bank, Auburn, has elected Conrad R. Bernier as executive vice president and treasurer.

Before joining Mid Maine Savings. Mr. Bernier was president and chief executive officer of Rockland Credit Union, Rockland, Mass. He has also held the position of senior vice president at Key Bank of Central Maine in Augusta and other senior management posts with banks in Massachusetts.

PROVIDENT SAVINGS Bank, Haverstraw, N.Y.. has named Valli Sheppard-Bess vice president and director of human resources.
