JACKSONVILLE. Fla. - Barnett Banks Inc. said its chairman and chief executive officer, Charles E. Rice, was appointed to the Federal Reserve System's Federal Advisory Council for a one-year term beginning in January.
The council has 12 members - one from each Fed district - and confers with the Board of Governors on economic and banking developments and other Fed activities.
