NBD names Thomas G. Blume president of an Indiana region.

Thomas G. Blume, senior executive vice president and chief operating officer of NBD Bank's Fort Wayne. Ind., region, has been elected president of the region.

Mr. Blume succeeds Darrell L. Blanton, who retired this month after 33 years with the bank.

"The biggest challenge will be to expand the bank's significant in Allen County and the nine-county northern Indiana region," Mr. Blume said.

He joined the bank in 1970 as trust operations officer. He later was elected trust investment officer, ice president, and manager of the investment department and the mortgage loan department.

Mr. Blume was named senior Vice president in 1982, and his responsibilities expanded to include marketing, branch administration, and data processing.

He was elected executive vice president in 1986 and senior executive vice president and chief operating officer in 1989.

Darrell L. Jaggers has been appointed manager of the NBD Bank's newly formed commercial real estate group, devoted to real estate development and the real estate industry in general.

Within this group are Jerry L. Thompson, vice president, and Erin S. Osterholt, commercial lending assistant.

Jeffrey L. Krivacs has been appointed to the newly created post to retail banking manager of NBD Bank for the district covering the Indiana communities of Huntington, South Whitley, Kendallville, and Columbia City.

MIDWEST

HUNTINGTON National Bank, Columbus, Ohio, a subsidiary of Huntington Bancshares, has promoted Randy A. White to senior vice president.

Mr. White is the balance sheet manager in the bank's treasury group.

Charles D. Dix, Shirley Lang Graham, and Kathie Basehore have been promoted to vice president.

Mr. Dix is an agricultural loan representative at the Belle Center and West Liberty banking office in Bellefontaine.

Ms. Graham and Ms. Basehore are regional managers in the human resources division.

Jennette Bradley, vice president, has been named manager of the Ohio public funds products. She was previously vice president, senior public finance banker.

Ms. Bradley will coordinate the banking services offered to government organizations, municipalities, and schools across Ohio.

Promoted to assistant vice presidents at Huntington National were Jane E. Bittcher, a small-business specialist in the retail division; and Josephine Corvino-MacRitchie, a dealer sales representative in charge of business development in the indirect lending and leasing department.

In other personnel moves at the holding company and various subsidiaries:

* Lynn A. Herald was named a vice president at the Huntington Capital Corp. Ms. Herald is the unit's marketing specialist for rate-risk products.

* Elfi Lewis was promoted to staff officer at Huntington Bancshares.

* Lisa K. Hall was promoted to investment officer at Huntington Investment Co. She is a securities account representative in the investment sales department.

* Mark R. Gibaldi was promoted to systems officer at Huntington Service Co. He is a senior project specialist in the information services department.

LAKE SHORE BANCORP., Chicago, has named James W. Aldrich as vice president and auditor, responsible for overall auditing activities for the bank holding company.

MIDDLE ATLANTIC

NATIONAL Westminster Bank USA said Diane Hernandez has been named a vice president

Ms. Hernandez is a relationship manager in the commercial banking division of the New York-based bank, serving companies in Westchester and Fairfield counties.

The parent company, National Westminster Bancorp, Jersey City, said Donna Marie Maloney and Margaret Goldberg had been named as assistant vice presidents.

Ms. Maloney is manager of the loan administration department for the special loans area of National Westminster Bank NJ. Ms. Goldberg is a business adviser in the U.S. parent's professional clients department, which serves doctors, dentists, attorneys, and accountants.

Also, Michael Spaventa has joined the parent company's Natwest Home Mortgage as a mortgage account executive serving the Ocean County, N.J., area.

UNITED JERSEY BANK, Hackensack, N.J., has appointed Joseph J. Kvarta as vice president and wholesale group manager, residential mortgage division.

He was formerly vice president and sales manager at Lancaster Financial.

SOUTHEAST

BARNETT BANK of South Florida, Miami, said Dorothea A. Stewart has joined as vice president and office manager of its Little River office.

She was formerly with Coopers & Lybrand in Los Angles and, before that, was a vice president and team leader in corporate banking for Security Pacific Bank in the Los Angeles area.

WACHOVIA BANK of Georgia, Atlanta, has elected Thomas D. Hills as executive vice president and named him to head its new public affairs division.

Mr. Hills will have overall responsibility for the bank's governmental and community affairs activities.

These include state and local governmental activities and banking relationships: community reinvestment, charitable programs and contributions; the bank's commitment to the Atlanta Project; and volunteer programs. including support of the 1996 Olympic Games.

He will also continue to have general responsibility for the private banking division.
