James E. McGowan has succeeded Alan G. Brown as president of Deluxe Data Systems, the Brown Deer, Wis., processor for regional electronic banking networks.
Mr. Brown will stay on for a transition period.He previously announced his retirement effective Nov. 30.
Mr. McGowan, 50, previously was chief executive officer of Palladian Software and Xerox Imaging Systems, chief operating officer of Project Software Development Inc., and spent 18 years with International Business Machines Corp.
