SunTrust unit to merge two subsidiaries.

ORLANDO, Fla. - SunBanks said it will combine two subsidiaries this fall, creating a single bank for Hernando, Citrus, and Pasco counties with $900 million of assets.

The consolidation of SunBank and Trust and SunBank of Pasco County will be the fourth in SunTrust Banks' Florida "right-sizing" program over the past two years, said Wendell H. Colson, chairman and president of SunBanks.

James H. Himbrough, president and chief executive of SunBank and Trust, has assumed the same duties at SunBank of Pasco County. John Batsch, the latter's former' president, was reassigned to the holding company in Orlando, reporting to Jimmy O. Williams, executive vice president, who oversees nine affiliate banks.
