Recognition adds a proxy processor.

Recognition International's systems division has added to its T4000 series of document systems an application designed to automate the processing of proxy notes.

The proxy product combines image technology with a detection system to produce from 15,000 to 30,000 documents per hour.

Based on an open architecture platform, the system performs detection without the use of timing marks, thus reducing errors and misreads.

In addition to the standard "X" voting character, the system can recognize a straight line, check mark, or other variations as a vote. It can also detect the presence of a signature, write-in vote, or change of address.

The system can also be applied to sales draft processing, image statement rendering, remittance/ lockbox applications, dividend check reconciliation, and address change detection and processing.

Recognition International Inc. has its headquarters in Dallas.
