Steven C. Alonso has been named president and chief financial officer of Bane One Financial Services Inc., the consumer finance subsidiary of Finance One Corp., Columbus, Ohio.
Finance One is an an affiliate of the $75.5 billion-asset Banc One Corp.
Mr. Alonso plans to expand Banc One Financial Services into a nation consumer finance company with multiple lines of buiness.
Mr. Alonso was formerly with Household International Inc., Prospect Heights, Ill., which he joined in 1986. He served in various consulting and executive management capacities, including mortgage banking, consumer finance and retail finance. His most recent position was as regional vice president based in the metropolitan Chicago area.
In addition, Mr. Alonso led the effort to centralize national mortgage operations and start up a new Midwest sales region for Household Mortgage Corp.
