WINCHESTER, Va. -- F & M Bank-Winchester, a unit of F & M National Corp., said it acquired substantially all the assets and assumed certain liabilities of Farmers and Merchants National Bank of Hamilton, Va.
Farmers and Merchants is a unit of Harvest Bancorp.
A spokesman for F & M National Corp. said the transaction will be a stock swap valued at about $7.1 million.
