Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan taps senior execs for Americas.

LONG-TERM CREDIT Bank of Japan, Tokyo, appointed two senior executives for its U.S. operations.

Koji Hirao was named managing director and chief executive offier for the Americas. He was previously managing director in charge of treasury and securities group at LTCB in Japan. Mr. Horao will oversee all the bank's U.S. operations, including branches and representative offices, affiliates, and subsidiaries in the Americas.

Kosaku Sakai was named director and general manager of the bank' s New York branch.

He formerly was general manager of the international banking group in the bank's planning division in Japan.

In his new post, Mr. Sakai will be responsible for a wide range of wholesale banking activities, such as corporate, aircraft, and project financings.
