Computer glitch halts Chicago futures trading.

CHICAGO Financial and agricultural futures trading at the Chicago Board of Trade was halted Wednesday at 9:37 a.m. central time because of computer problems, according to a spokesman for the board.

He said that trading was halted because the computer problems prevented price information from being posted. The computer glitch, which occurred at about 9:30 a.m., prevented trades made on the grains floor from being posted on the price reporting screens, the spokesman noted.
