JACKSONVILLE -- Barnett Banks Inc. is the latest bank to offer its customers a Visa check card. Currently, there are 16.5 million Visa check cardholders in the United States. The $38 billion asset bank, which named its program the Barnett SuperCard Check Card, introduced its automated teller machine card to 860,000 checking account customers in Florida and Georgia. Barnett Banks, the largest financial institution in Florida, is initially targeting 31 of its 615 banking affiliates.
