TELL CITY, Ind. -- Citizens National Bank Corp. has agreed to merge with Old National Bancorp of Evansville, Ind., in a stock transaction valued at $34 million.
Citizens National is a single-bank holding company for Citizens National Bank of Tell City.
The deal is subject to shareholder and regulatory approval and is expected to be completed by early 1995.
Citizens National will retain its name, employees, management, and board, Old National said.
With the addition of Citizens National's $140 million in assets and other pending mergers, Old National will exceed $4.3 billion in assets and will operate 114 offices in its three-state region.
