CDA/Wiesenberger, a mutual fund tracking service, released a variable annuities data base for HySales, its Windows-based hypothetical software package. It helps bank representatives to sell variable annuities. The data base contains information on more than 145 variable annuity contracts and over 1,400 subcontracts, including total subaccount expenses, total contract expenses, single/flexible premium information, minimum investment and withdrawal amounts, and expense ratios.
The software allows reps to show clients realistic investment scenarios by including contract-specific information. Reps can sort and screen funds, compare funds to more than 75 indexes, and produce two-dimensional and three-dimensional graphics. CDA/Weisenberger is a Thomson Financial Services company based in Rockville, Md.
