Apparently overseeing Ginnie Mae's $1 trillionth securitized dollar and kicking off the long-awaited Ginnie Remic program in his first year hasn't kept Ginnie Mae President Dwight Robinson busy enough.
Or, perhaps, he's done such a good job that he's being afforded more responsibility. In any case Robinson's work load will increase as HUD Secretary Henry Cisneros has tapped the newest member of his HUD team to serve as the department's acting deputy secretary.
In that role Robinson will be second-in-command at HUD and will administer the department's housing, community development and fair housing programs. Robinson was nominated to be Ginnie's president by President Clinton in October 1993 and was confirmed by the senate in November 1993. No word on whether Robinson gets a raise, though.
