1st Chicago to handle custody for Amcore.

Amcore Financial, a $2 billion-asset banking company in Rockford, II1., has switched the custody contract for its proprietary mutual funds to First Chicago Corp., according to regulatory filings.

Previously, State Street Bank and Trust of Boston handled the account. Custodians provide a range of services, including securities safekeeping, to mutual funds.

Amcore manages the Vintage mutual funds. The lineup includes four portfolios: a stock fund, taxable bond fund, municipal bond fund,. and money market fund.

Together, the funds held $356 million in assets at midyear, according to Lipper Analytical Services. Winsbury Co. of Columbus, Ohio, serves as distributor for the funds.
