PNC Bank Corp.

PNC BANK CORP., Pittsburgh, said Joan L. Gulley. has been named president and chief executive officer of the Massachusetts Co., Boston., a subsidiary of PNC Bank.

Ms. Gulley replaces Eugene M. Tangney, who will remain chairman until his retirement at the end of the year. She was executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Massachusetts Co., responsible for deposit services, trust services, operations, and marketing.

PNC Bank Delaware, Wilmington, has appointed T. Sean Costello vice president and head of commercial real estate for the bank's Delaware market.

He oversees the real estate banking division, which provides banking and financial services to commercial and residential real estate developers in Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania.

NATIONAL Westminster Bancorp., Jersey City, has named Gregory Braca a vice president.

Mr. Braca is a lending officer with Natwest's commercial banking division, serving commercial customers with $3 million to $15 million in annual sales in New York City's boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island.

MITSUBISHI TRUST and Banking Corp. USA, New York, said its senior vice president and controller, Kenneth Portera, has been elected to the board of trustees of the Optometric Center of New York, a foundation related to the State University of New York College of Optometry.

The center is a nonprofit, tax-exempt foundation devoted to vision science research, patient care, and education.
