SAN FRANCISCO -- First Nationwide Bank is offering its customers the Visa Check card program.
The enhanced ATM card will be marketed to the bank's 510,000 checking account customers, adding to the current 16.5 million Visa Check cardholders across the country.
ATM cards with the Visa Check mark have been mailed to selected checking customers and applications will be available in the bank's branches by November. First Nationwide is in the process of being acquired from Ford Motor Co. by a Texas group headed by Gerald J. Ford.
