DAYTON, Ohio -- Citfed Mortgage Corporation of America, has opened offices in Louisville and Lexington, Ky., its first outside of Ohio.
The expansion "supports our strategy of growing originations by entering new markets," said Mary L. Larkins, president of Citfed Mortgage, a unit of Citfed Bancorp.
As of Sept. 30, Citfed Mortgage serviced $3.9 billion in mortgage loans, of which $2.9 billion were for other investors.
"We've been looking at several areas outside Ohio to expand our business, and Lexington and Louisville are places we feel have great potential for our continued growth," said Mr. Larkins.
The expansion follows Citfed's hiring of Bruce Culbreth in July to the new position of vice president/national sales manager with a mandate to add markets.
