Pryor McClendon hires Leslie to help boost sales.

Stpehen Leslie has joined Pryor, McClendon, Counts & Co. a a senior vice president of institutional sales, the company confirmed yesterday

In his new position, Leslie will be responsible for helping Pryor McClendon expand sales of secondary market bonds to institutional investors. He will report to Howard Mackey 3d, a managing director of municipal sales and a partner in the firm.

Most recently, Leslie was a senior vice president in charge of national underwriting and municipal trading at Muriel Siebert & Co.

George J. Izzi joined Muriel Siebert last week as a senior vice president and will replace Leslie. Izzi previously worked as a vice president in charge of trading and underwriting at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co.

Leslie, who began working at Pryor McClendon yesterday, will focus on the firm's larger institutional clients, Mackey said.

The addition of Leslie "will enable us to provide a more complete set of services to our institutional clients." Mackey said.

Leslie has also worked as a senior vice president at M.R. Beal & Co., and he was a trader at Salomon Brothers until the firm shut down its municipal operations in 1987.
