PaineWebber hires another seven Kidder bankers.

PaineWebber Inc. has hired seven more investment bankers from Kidder Peabody & Co.'s municipal bond department, sources said Wednesday.

An official announcement on the new hires is expected to be released this morning.

The seven Kidder executives joining PaineWebber are: Paul Ladd, managing director, William Holmberg, first vice president; David Weprin, first vice president; Thomas Liu, vice president; and Jean Tung, Amiel Aharon, and Tom Innis, who are analysts.

As reported, Terry Atkinson, managing director of PalneWebber's municipal securities group, told The Bond Buyer last week that the firm would like to retain abouthalf of Kidder's municipal bond employees.

It couldn't be learned by press time whether there will be additional hires beyondthe seven that are expected to be announced this morning.

Kidder's Marvin Marcus was said to have been offered a job by PaineWebber last week, but as of late Wednesday, it couldn't be learned whether he actually will be joining the firm.

PaineWebber's previously announced acquisition of Kidder Peabody is expected to close in January.
